Working as a sharecropper, he began selling Grasparossa grapes and Lambrusco in demijohns.<\/p><p>In 1971, his son Domenico together with his wife Albertina purchased two and a half hectares of land. Here they found some room for their house, a vineyard, and their first cellar.
